Since moving away from Iceland Jon has experienced a resurgent interest in exploring his own background. For this body of work he has gone back to his native Island to explore a range of themes related to his family’s history with a special emphasis on exploring the changing role experienced by men in a society traditionally dominated by very conventional gender roles.
